First, our dentist in LaSalle will prepare your teeth by removing the decay and having your teeth fully cleaned. Next, 3D digital impressions are captured of your tooth with a handheld scanner. The information is sent to a computer linked to the CEREC software where the dentist can program your shape and color preferences. Another piece of equipment called a milling machine carves the inlay or onlay from a block of ceramic, which is then applied to your tooth.
